SAMPLE REPORT:

Capt John Reports:

We started out just below the Norfolk in 120 fathoms on a school of Dolphins moving to the NE, large school and spread out for almost a mile. Lines in at about 8:15am water was green and 68 degrees. Took about 20 min to find our first bites and after two shots we had 9 out of 12 in the box. All Ballyhoo bites Blue and White, Black and Pink and some naked’s. The Dolphins went down and stopped feeding, we kept trolling in that area found a few single bites on long rigger naked baits. I felt i needed to be a little bit more to the south so i picked up and ran 6 miles and not long after we stopped we jumped off a Blue Marlin. Stayed in the same depth water was now 69.5 and seemed to be getting cleaner. We stumbled on to a small weed line and temp break up to 71 which we got jumped by 4 70lb Yellowfins and got three lost a 100lb just shot of the leader pulled the hook. Again all Bait bites. Proceeded to work of the weed line another mile or so and found 73 degree water and some scattered Pilot Whales, got jumped by 7 caught all of them 40 lb fish. proceeded to work back up towards the weed line which was moving to the north. There were some small schoolies, but we had not time for them. We managed to get jumped again caught a few more on that pass in water that was now Blue/Gray. Time 10:30am we were on our way home.
