In Between weather windows we have had a pretty good run. The Bluefin Bite before the weekend was off the chain, The Moon affected the fishing so we started our trips later and smacked the yellowfin pretty good on the evening bite.

Capt John Reports:

Fishing has been pretty good for us the last few days. Sadly we were not in the OCTT this year, clients had an emergency come up. On Thursday and Friday we spent our time inshore on the Hot Dog. We had really great fishing, all on the troll, they liked the Ballyhoo’s! We caught and released plenty go Blue fins, our biggest was 128lb. We did find a few Yellow fins along the way. Saturday and today were spent in the Washington, bite was slow but we did manage to put together a good catch. The smaller Yellow fins enjoyed the cedar plugs late in the afternoon….we did try some live baiting which worked out great. We caught our bigger Tunas on live Spot and Croakers… we even had some Manhadden’s which proved to be a favorite. Over all clients have been happy and thats what we worry about, tight lines!
